TRIP FAQ:
Q: WHERE ARE WE MEETING AND AT WHAT TIME?
A: WE WILL MEET AT THE PLYMOUTH MEETING MALL ACROSS FROM THE MACY'S LOWER LEVEL ENTRANCE - CLOSEST TO GERMANTOWN PIKE. WE WILL MEET AT 8:15 AM ( please note new time). WE ARE TRAVELING BY VANS. WE HAVE 17 STUDENTS AND 6 ADULTS ON THIS TRIP. I WILL BE CONTACTING THE CHAPERONS TO WORK OUT THE SPECIFIC LOGISTICS AND POST DETAILS HERE BY MIDWEEK.
Q: WHAT ABOUT FOOD DURING THE TRIP?
A; HAVE OR PACK A GOOD BREAKFAST. WE WILL PROVIDE LUNCH (CHEESE HOAGIES AND DRINKS). WE WILL STOP AT A LOCAL PIZZA PLACE FOR DINNER - PLEASE BRING $10.00 FOR DINNER. WE WOULD ALSO SUGGEST THAT YOU PACK SOME BREAKFAST BARS IN A ZIPLOCK BAG IN CASE YOU GET HUNGRY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY.
Q: DO WE NEED ANY MORE MONEY?
A: THE WHITEWATER PLACE HAS OPTIONAL SOAKER GUNS THAT THEY RENT OUT FOR THE DAY FOR $3 - 5 . YOU CAN DECIDE IF YOU WILL RENT THESE.
Q: WHAT ABOUT ELECTRONIC DEVICES?
A; LEAVE THEM ALL IN THE LOCKER. YOU MAY BRING THE CELL PHONES BUT NO IPODS OR ITOUCH DEVICES. REMEMBER ANYTHING ON THE RAFT WILL GET VERRRRRY WET.
Q: WHEN DO WE EXPECT TO RETURN?
A; WE EXPECT TO RETURN TO THE PLYMOUTH MEETING MALL PARKING LOT AROUND 10:30 PM.

OLD QUESTIONS
Q: Are we taking a bus to Jim Thorpe?
A: Once I get a headcount I will see if getting a bus is an option. As of now, we should plan on car pooling - maybe 6 people to a van.
Q. Can our parents come?
A: Jim Thorpe is a public facility so anyone can go there. The kids have expressed an interest in this being a kids oriented trip and if the adults outnumber the kids, the nature of the outing changes. My recommendation is that any adult who is willing to participate in all activities ( whitewater AND paintball) and is a kid at heart can go.
Q: Can Culture 8 students come?
A: Yes.
Q. What should the ratio of adults to kids be?
A: I will check with Jim Thorpe and post this info.
Q: Where can I get additional information on safety and other questions?
Q: Will we need to sign a release form?
A: Absolutely!. No one can get on the rafts without the release forms being signed. Our group should have all release forms signed with the payment and we will forward it to Jim Thorpe before the trip. This will save us time when we are there. Here is the link for the release form. PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INFORMATION CAREFULLY REGARDING SAFETY AND SIGN THE WAIVER AFTER CAREFULLY WEIGHING THE RISKS.
Q: Will there be an adult in every raft?
A: That is the current plan. That's why we need the commitments ahead of time so that we can ensure that we have one adult per raft.
