OK - LETS PICK OUR CHARACTERS FOR THE WAX MUSEUM. [I HAVE ASSIGNED CHARACTERS FOR STUDENTS WHO HAD NOT PICKED CHARACTERS BY 11:00 pm ON 5/31/09]. PRESENTATION ON DAY OF GRADUATION - DETAILS BELOW.

ARRIVE BY 1:55 PM. AS SOON AS DOORS OPEN AT 2 PM WE WILL SET UP. PLEASE HAVE ONE PARENT WITH EACH OF YOU TO HELP WITH SETUP. WE WILL HAVE AUDIENCE STARTING 2:15 PM.

LOCATION: LARGE HALL ACROSS FROM THE AUDITORIUM (WHERE WE HAD THE RANGOLI COMPETITION)..

THINGS YOU NEED:

1. YOUR COSTUME (NOT ELABORATE. YOUR SCRIPT, YOUR TONE, YOUR EYES ARE THE REAL COSTUME).

2. A TRIFOLD BOARD IF YOU WANT A BACKGROUND. IF YOU BEING A SHEET, BRING EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO HAND IT.

3. AN ACTIVATION BUTTON TO START THE DEMO.

The wax museum project is the final exam for Culture 7. THIS PROJECT IS ESSENTIAL FOR ME TO RECOMMEND THAT THE STUDENT CAN GRADUATE. This is not a surprise – the students have known about this for over a month. The project is a 2 minute delivery in costume ( nothing fancy – just creative) of the essence of the character the students have been assigned. Typically the wax museum is a concept where the character is “frozen”. There is an activation button that the students will design (exercise creativity). The characters will be located along the periphery of a large open area ( Asmita working out details). When a person approaches the frozen character and “activates” them, the student will act out the character in about 2 minutes and then go back to being frozen. This will happen 5-6 times during the 45 minutes.
